Kimberly Sterin, PhD, is the Director of Policy at EdFund. Before joining EdFund, Kim’s career included roles in academic research, education policy and advocacy, and K-12 classroom teaching. At Drexel University’s School of Education, Kim completed a post-doctoral fellowship funded by the National Science Foundation and directed the research operations for the Justice-oriented Youth (JoY) Education Lab, an intergenerational collective of university-community researchers in West Philadelphia. She earned her PhD in Education Policy and Leadership from the School of Education at Drexel University. Kim’s passion for supporting research-to-policy connections stems from her seven years as a public school English teacher. Her time in the classroom continues to ground her in the day-to-day realities of teachers, students, and school communities. Kim enjoys running, reading, and making spicy nachos.
