Hannah F. Scarbrough recently completed her Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies, with a focus on research, measurement, and statistics, at Georgia State University, where her research centers on evidence synthesis methods, particularly meta-analysis, and how research findings are shared with and used by policymakers and practitioners. Her dissertation examined how meta-analytic results are reported in documents designed for practitioner audiences, contributing to a growing body of work on how to make research more accessible and interpretable to nonresearcher audiences through visualizations and research briefs.  

That research extends across disciplines, with Hannah applying her evidence synthesis skills to both education and public health. She brings hands-on experience conducting mixed-methods program evaluations in K–12 settings and has led sessions at several meta-analysis training workshops on topics such as systematic literature searches and screening, data extraction, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in synthesis research.  

In addition to her Ph.D., Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy, both from the University of Georgia. Her training in research methods, policy, and education informs her commitment to ensuring that evidence is not just produced but communicated in ways that meaningfully reach the policymakers and practitioners who need it most.
